We've recently received planning permission for this new self-build dwelling in Northamptonshire. The proposed dwelling will replace a previously approved Class Q prior approval and subsequent full planning permission and includes the demolition of the existing barn and a new, thermally efficient and air-tight dwelling built in its place.

The design includes roof mounted solar panels, air source heat pump, MVHR and will be constructed to passive standards in a highly air tight and thermally efficient twin wall timber frame system by MBC Timber Frame UK Ltd.

 

Externally the dwelling will be finished in a mixture of stone and Millboard Shadowline plus charred timber effect weatherboard cladding with aluminium windows and doors. 

Now onto the detailed design and finalising the construction drawings in tangent with the M&E consultant and timber frame company.
