Nestled in the South Devon National Landscape (formerly AONB) and in a prominent position visible from the conservation area, the existing property was lacking in space for an ever growing family and was in general need of updating. 

Our initial aim of a two storey and single storey rear extension was scaled down and this single storey rear extension provides an open plan kitchen, dining and living space. The large sliding doors and roof lights provide ample natural light and help connect the property to the large rear garden. 

The existing single storey structure to the side was removed and a more fit for purpose utility room was built. This side extension was reduced in width but extended in length to allow a path around the side to provide rear garden access without traipsing bikes and muddy boots and paws through the house. This also enabled the raising of the floor to ensure a level floor throughout the entire ground floor.

The works have not only helped to update the property and improve the visual appearance; But most importantly have provided our client with the additional space they required, including a ground floor bedroom, and a space that suits their lifestyle.
